Appalachian Feline Foster Network

We are a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of cats through advocacy, education, and compassionate care. Our mission is to promote feline welfare by addressing the root causes of overpopulation, neglect, and misunderstanding of cats in our communities.

We focus on four key areas:

  • Advocacy: We work to raise awareness about the importance of humane treatment and responsible cat ownership. Through community outreach and policy initiatives, we advocate for stronger protections and support for cats at the local and regional levels.

  • Education: We provide accessible resources and programs to help the public better understand cat behavior, health, and care. Our goal is to empower individuals and communities with the knowledge to make informed, compassionate decisions about cats.

  • Spay/Neuter & TNR: We are committed to reducing feline overpopulation through responsible spay/neuter practices. All cats in our adoption program are spayed or neutered before placement. In addition, we support community cat populations through Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR), a humane and effective method of managing feral and free-roaming cats. By preventing unwanted litters and stabilizing colony numbers, we improve the quality of life for both cats and communities.

  • Adoption: We rescue and rehome cats into loving, permanent homes. Every cat in our care receives the medical attention and socialization they need to thrive. Our thorough adoption process ensures a strong match between adopter and feline companion.

Together with our supporters, we envision a world where every cat is valued, protected, and given the chance to live a healthy, happy life.
